What does it mean to you to be named in the Walpole 2022 Power List?

The community that Walpole has created is generous and supportive. It inspires and influences progress within our industry. I am incredibly thankful to be named and humbled to be listed alongside some remarkable contributors to the British luxury business.

What have you achieved in the past year that you are most proud of?

The last year has proven that in the face of unprecedented challenge, when we prioritise kindness and compassion, and lead with empathy, we can achieve our business objectives, and learn an enormous amount personally and professionally on the journey. I am extremely proud of my team and thankful for the business partners who support us. As a team we have tackled ambiguity and managed change at a pace never experienced before, developing and adapting to new operating models in our stores constantly - often daily. The resilience and adaptability that our teams have shown, always prioritising the experience of our customers, has been nothing short of exceptional.

What are you most looking forward to professionally for 2022?

Investing further in the next generation of leadership talent, both within my own team and more broadly across the industry. Continuing the drive forward on sustainability, maintaining our focus on the future of retailing and digitisation, and of course to continue to enhance the experience of our customers.

And personally?

Personally, I am looking forward to re-igniting social connections that have been missed recently. One of the things I love about retail is the collaboration, the connectivity and the cross-industry conversations. I really hope that much of that will return during 2022.
